Position Purpose

This position is responsible for the daily cleaning and light preventative maintenance and repair of the building and grounds. You are to ensure that the image of our company is reflected in the appearance and the condition of our equipment and facilities, while maintaining the company’s high standards of safety and cleanliness.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential Functions

• Daily cleaning duties include, but are not limited to, gather and empty trash; service, clean and supply restrooms. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming, and strip, seal, finish and polish floors. Clean windows and mirrors. Dust furniture, walls, fixtures and office machines. Sweep outdoor walkways, trim vegetation/grass and keep grounds free of liter and weeds.
• Clean the inside and outside of sightseeing tour vehicles following manufacturers and company procedures.
• Apply soap or detergent to outside of vehicle and ensure all soap is rinsed from vehicle.
• Spray and clean dirt from tires and wheel rims.
• Spot clean and wipe down all surfaces inside vehicle, clean all marks from inside of vehicle windows.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to read, write and speak clear English in order to communicate with co-workers and the general public.
• Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships with, including, but not limited to, employees, supervisors, other departments, vendors and guests
• Ability to deal with unpleasant, angry, or discourteous people in a pleasant, calm, courteous manner.
• Ability to work independently over long periods of time within the scope of established rules and regulations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of general janitorial and light maintenance preferred.

Other Requirements

• Must pass pre-employment MVR/background check and substance abuse testing.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record for past three years.
