Job Description

A boutique legal staffing and placement agency with offices in Los Angeles and Valencia, CA, is seeking a dynamic Junior Full-Desk Recruiting/Business Development Associate to join our growing team. This is a remote role, but applicants must reside in California. This is a fantastic opportunity to partner with top-tier law firms and corporate legal departments, helping to place attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in both contract and full-time roles. Your Day-to-Day

This role combines recruitment and business development. No two days are the same!

  • Make outbound calls and conduct outreach to attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff
  • Reach out to law firms and corporate legal departments to identify hiring needs
  • Conduct reference checks, schedule and conduct interviews, and coach candidates
  • Coordinate document review project teams
  • Match candidates with current openings and drive the hiring process forward
  • Research legal hiring trends and candidate profiles
  • Assist senior recruiters with administrative tasks as needed

Key Responsibilities

  • Source candidates from proprietary databases and platforms
  • Cold call legal professionals daily (attorneys, paralegals, support staff)
  • Make business development outreach calls to law firms and corporate legal teams
  • Negotiate salaries and benefits on behalf of candidates
  • Conduct phone and Zoom/FaceTime interviews
  • Perform detailed reference checks
  • Collaborate closely with a small, supportive team

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • J.D., Paralegal Certificate, or related legal background strongly preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in legal, sales, recruiting, or insurance
  • Excellent communication skills—written and verbal (writing samples will be requested)
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Emotional intelligence and resilience—the recruiting world moves fast and requires adaptability and poise

Compensation & Career Path

Base + Monthly Commission Structure (Earning potential includes base + commissions):

  • Year 1: $65,000–$80,000 (average producers; high achievers can earn more)
  • Year 2: $85,000–$100,000+
  • Year 3: $100,000+ with potential to move into management ($130,000+)

This is a sales-driven role with high earnings potential based on performance. We’re looking for someone confident in their ability to succeed and grow.
