Job Description

Salary: $120,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

• A minimum of 10 years of full-time experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years in an AWS environment focusing on application development.
• A bachelor's degree or its foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SQL queries, with the ability to optimize queries based on various RDBMS performance parameters such as indexes, partitioning, explain plans, and cost optimizers.
• Hands-on experience with AWS database services like Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB, and Aurora.
• Experience in writing advanced SQL scripts involving self-joins, window functions, correlated subqueries, and Common Table Expressions (CTEs).

Responsibilities:

• I will lead the development of data architecture that produces our data assets, enabling our data platform.
• I am expected to collaborate closely with business leaders, architects, engineers, data scientists, and a wide range of stakeholders to design and execute our strategic data architecture vision.
• I will build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a diverse array of sources using SQL and AWS technology stack.
• I will build analytical tools that leverage the data pipeline, providing actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other critical business metrics.
• I will participate in the design and development of the AWS-based data platform and analytics.
• I will work hands-on with AWS Glue, Lake Formation, Athena, AWS Batch, AWS Lambda, Python, and Linux shell & batch scripting to build data applications.
• I will examine complex data to enhance the efficiency and quality of collected data, resolve data quality issues, and partner with database developers to improve systems and designs.
