Music Teacher Opportunity – Summer Camp (Melville, NY)

Think Wellness NY is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Music Teacher to join our summer camp team in Melville. You would be a 1099 contractor for Think Wellness NY, and visit our camp client on our behalf.

Position Details

Location: Melville, NY
Duration: 6 weeks in the summer: June 29th, 2026- August 7th, 2027
Schedule: Monday 3 classes between 10:40am-1:50pm, Tuesdays 4 classes 10:40am-2:55pm, Wednesdays 4 periods 10:40am-2:55pm- lunch break, and other periods off throughout the day.
Daily Load: 3–4 periods per day
Class Length: 35 minutes per period & a lunch break
Pay: $30–$40 per period, based on experience
Grades: Kindergarten through 4th grade

Responsibilities

Lead fun, engaging, and age-appropriate music classes for elementary-aged children
Create a positive, supportive, and energetic classroom environment
Work collaboratively with camp staff and the Think Wellness NY team
Arrive prepared, organized, and on time for all assigned classes: we have some instruments if needed.

Requirements

Experience working with children (classroom, camp, daycare, after-school programs, or private lessons)
College coursework in Music or a Music degree
Ability to design and facilitate fun, age-appropriate music activities
Professional, dependable, and enthusiastic about wellness and education
