Job Title: Paramedic

Location: Portage, WI

Weekly Gross: $2,167.60/week

Hourly Pay Rate: $19.20/hr

Overtime Pay Rate: $28.80/hr

Weekly Stipend (Per-diem): $1246/week

Contract Type: Travel Contract (13 Weeks)

Start Date: ASAP

Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours/week (96 hours per 2-week rotation)

Shift Options:

• Two 24-hour shifts per week (if on 24-hour base)
• Four 12-hour shifts per week (if on 12-hour shift truck)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our team at Aspirus Divine Savior in Portage, WI. This role involves delivering high-quality basic and advanced life support, providing immediate and effective medical care in emergency settings, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients. The position requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide basic and advanced life support in emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and interventions.
• Interview patients, obtain and record vital signs, and document care in the Zoll EMS Charts system.
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment.
• Implement medical interventions in accordance with established protocols and under medical direction.
• Assist physicians and registered nurses with treatments and procedures.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality patient care.
• Respond effectively to critical situations and life-threatening conditions.
• Maintain high standards of clinical competency and professionalism.

Schedule & Work Conditions:

• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend as needed, on a scheduled rotation.
• Holiday Requirement: As needed and available.
• Float Requirement: No mandatory floating; however, may be reassigned to other northern/central region locations based on staffing needs.
• On-Call Requirement: None.

Required Qualifications:

• Certifications:
  • Wisconsin EMT Paramedic Certification
  • Active Wisconsin Driver's License in good standing
  • AHA BLS and AHA ACLS
  • Preferred: Wisconsin Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) Endorsement
  • Required: Michigan Paramedic Certification (or eligible for reciprocity via NREMT-P)
• Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year as a practicing Paramedic
  • 3+ years preferred
• Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited EMS Paramedic program
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with Zoll EMS Charts (training provided)
  • Ability to operate within mixed crew configurations (EMT/Medic, RN/Medic, etc.)
