Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The staff physician in the clinical track is responsible for providing direct outpatient care to Nephrology patients at UHealth satellite locations and/or UHealth ambulatory medical locations [8-9 half days] .  He/she will provide outpatient clinical services to those patients who require Nephrology services .

Outline of additional responsibilities include but are not Limited to:

• Maintain outpatient clinic at UHealth satellite locations and/or UHealth ambulatory medical locations

• Rotate on inpatient at UHT or JMH p ropor tionate to other providers – when needed

Qualifications:

• MD Degree and ACGME US Internal Medicine Internship and Residency

• Completed 2-year ACGME US Nephrology Fellowship

• Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Nephrology (or board eligible)

• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)

• Valid DEA licensure

• Current ACLS and BLS certification required

Kn owledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Completion of US ACGME 2-year nephrology fellowship

• Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.

• Must maintain CME to meet institutional a nd state licensing requirements

• Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care

• Close encounters within 72 hours .
